Job Description


As a Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst, you will coordinate with Purchasing, Customs Brokers, and Suppliers to ensure that all foreign documents comply with US Customs laws and regulations. You will also review shipping documents for accuracy and manage responses to requests for information from Customs Brokers and Forwarders. Your role will involve performing valuation analysis, country of origin reviews, and utilizing special trade programs for import shipments. Additionally, you will classify materials in the master database, assign harmonized tariff schedule (HTS) numbers, and research products using engineering systems to determine component structure for classification.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Customs Brokers, and Suppliers to ensure compliance with US Customs laws and regulations.
  • Manage responses to information requests from Customs Brokers and Forwarders.
  • Review shipping documents for accuracy and take appropriate action.
  • Perform valuation analysis, country of origin reviews, and assist with special trade program usage for import shipments.
  • Classify material in the material master database and assign HTS numbers for both import and export shipments.
  • Research products using various engineering systems to determine component structure for classification.
  • Apply antidumping/countervailing duty (ADD/CVD) cases and update blanket statements.
  • Maintain records, including the parts database, in accordance with customs record-keeping requirements.
  • Review Automated Commercial System (ACE) account data daily.
  • Develop metrics and audit criteria to measure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure HTS chapter 98 compliance, specifically agricultural exemptions.


Essential Skills


  • Proficiency in SAP GTS.
  • Experience with US Imports.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in trade management.
  • Excellent knowledge in processing import shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong working knowledge of US Customs Regulations, Free Trade Programs, Customs ACE System, and Duty Drawback.
  • Excellent understanding of HTS codes and experience in HTS classification.
  • Knowledge of valuation and country of origin requirements.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


  • Duty Drawback experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits


The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
