Magnolia Global Trade Solutions, LLC is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-obsessed, highly skilled Senior Trade Consultant to support our expanding client base in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
This is a 1099 contract role with fully flexible hours - perfect for an experienced trade compliance professional who thrives in a project-based environment and enjoys complex, technical work.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be able to independently execute a wide range of duties, including:
- Conducting internal trade compliance audits and preparing findings/reports
- Performing accurate HTS classification across diverse product categories
- Advising on tariff stacking, duty-reduction opportunities, and strategic planning
- Supporting Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification and documentation
- Providing valuation analysis, including first sale, assists, and related-party considerations
- Drafting clear, client-ready memos, technical summaries, and regulatory interpretations
- Offering general consulting support on global trade compliance issues
- Maintaining exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards
💼 Qualifications
- MUST be a Licensed Customs Broker with an active license
- 5+ years of experience in Global Trade Compliance
- Strong working knowledge of HTS classification, customs valuation, FTA rules of origin, and duty mitigation concepts
- Excellent writing and communication skills (must be able to draft polished client-facing memos)
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and juggle multiple projects
- Consulting experience is a plus, but not required
