Full job description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Import & Export Coordinator to join our domestic freight operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and managing LTL and FTL shipments, ensuring that all loads move efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily LTL and FTL shipments from booking to final delivery
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation including BOLs, PODs, and rate confirmations
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any service issues quickly
  • Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to provide real-time updates and accurate ETAs
  • Support the import/export process for domestic clients and ensure all paperwork is compliant with company standards
  • Negotiate and confirm freight rates with carriers while maintaining profitability
  • Manage data entry and documentation in TMS systems with accuracy and timeliness
  • Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to meet customer expectations and service level goals
  • Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and a solutions-focused attitude

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in domestic freight coordination (LTL/FTL) or logistics operations
  • Strong understanding of carrier operations, freight documentation, and routing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure in a time-sensitive environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS) such as CargoWise, AS400, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in freight brokerage or dispatch coordination
  • Knowledge of import/export compliance and domestic trade regulations
  • Experience working with pharma, retail, or manufacturing clients is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
