Summary
We’re seeking a U.S.-based CPA with deep experience in S-Corps for a one-time consultation.
We’ve operated for years as a sole proprietorship with 1099 income. We’re now forming an S-Corp for a new business and need expert guidance on how to restructure our tax approach efficiently and compliantly.
This is a consultation-only engagement (for now), focused on:
- Transitioning from 1040 sole prop to S-Corp
- Optimizing tax structure for our new entity
- Understanding implications for payroll, distributions, and deductions
- Navigating FTC vs. FEIE (Form 1116)
We’re open to expanding the relationship if you’re the right fit, including potentially switching to you for future tax filing.
- U.S.-based CPA (required)
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Strong background in S-Corp taxation
- Familiarity with international tax issues (this S-Corp income will be 100% USA based income, we just live abroad)
- Ability to communicate clearly and offer actionable advice
- Willing to pay $200-$300 for this round of advice.
- I envision a combination of Zoom meetings and emails over the course of a week or two.
- I understand that tax planning is by nature a very in-depth venture and only so much can be accomplished in a few hours of consulting. But we are looking for broad strokes at this time in order to get us moving in the right direction.
If you’re a seasoned CPA who enjoys helping small business owners navigate complex transitions, we’d love to hear from you. Please include a brief summary of your experience, relevant credentials, and availability.
