Role Overview

StraitAdvisory is hiring International Specialists on a part-time, project-based basis. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with experience in international relations, trade policy, regional affairs, or multilateral institutions who are looking to contribute to meaningful consulting projects with global impact.

Assignments will vary in scope and may include research, strategy development, policy analysis, or written deliverables for client-facing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on international policy, trade, and geopolitical developments
  • Analyze regulatory and policy frameworks, especially related to U.S. and EU trade regimes
  • Draft clear and compelling reports, memos, and policy briefs for a professional audience
  • Collaborate remotely with diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to project planning and strategic insight development as needed

Qualifications

  • Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written); additional regional language skills are a plus
  • Familiarity with U.S. and EU trade policy, regulatory developments, or multilateral frameworks
  • Experience working with or within organizations such as the UN, WTO, OECD, ADB, or similar is an advantage
  • Understanding of Asia-Pacific regional dynamics highly valued
  • Prior experience in consulting, advisory services, or policy analysis preferred
