OVERVIEW:
Supervise all customs-related activities in the assigned division/LOBs to ensure smooth sailing daily customs operations and ensuring that all shipments are cleared quickly and efficiently. This includes compliance with company policies, customs regulations and addressing non-compliance cases.
In addition, dependent on the assigned division/LOBs, the incumbent may also need to work with external vendors (2PL/3PL) and manage contingency workers engaged to meet operational needs.
This role will also ensure that functional strategies are implemented and support the (Senior) Manager, Customs Brokerage in managing the performance and capabilities of the team.

Work Location Requirement â APL Logistics:
Employees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below: Â Fully on-site, or fully remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs.
â¢Â    Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor.
â¢Â    Warehouse roles are typically fully on-site.
â¢Â    Candidates outside the 25-mile radius may be considered for fully remote roles, depending on business needs.
Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols. Commuting costs are not reimbursed. Â Adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.
