Overview:
A growing organization in Orlando, Florida is seeking a highly experienced International Shipping Consultant to support their expanding global logistics efforts. This is a newly created position due to increased complexity in international shipments. The role is hybrid, with on-site collaboration as needed, and is expected to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and process improvement recommendations for shipping products from Florida to Latin America, Canada, and Europe.
- Conduct team training and act as a subject matter expert in global shipping logistics.
- Assess current shipping operations and develop scalable international logistics solutions.
- Navigate complex international shipping challenges, including political changes, tariffs, and trade regulations.
- Leverage expertise in reverse logistics to create systems for handling returns, replacements, and refurbishments.
- Collaborate with vendors (e.g., Dell) to manage fleets of IT devices, particularly for small business clients.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external logistics partners to streamline international distribution.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in international logistics, reverse logistics, and global shipping strategy.
- Strong understanding of global trade regulations and current geopolitical impacts on logistics.
- Experience working with technology hardware fleets and vendor partnerships.
- Ability to train and mentor logistics and operations teams.
- Experience with shipping to and from Latin America, Canada, and Europe preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
