Job description

Our Customer was founded in 1982 in an effort to create a solid accounting firm headed by native professionals. They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.

We are seeking a Global Trade Advisory Consultant on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote in PST hours, but training will be on-site in San Jose, CA. Travel expenses for training can be reimbursed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process classification requests for various jurisdictions
  • Respond to requests from the client’s customs brokers regarding shipment status
  • Address FDA/entry requirements for shipments as needed
  • Oversee the clearing of shipments and customs processes
  • Manage full trade requests, including both import and export operations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant trade and customs regulations

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in relevant roles
  • Strong operational background in trade compliance
  • Experience with import and export processes
  • Brokerage experience (customs brokerage background)
  • Ability to manage multiple trade requests simultaneously
  • Experience responding to classification and shipment status inquiries
  • Familiarity with FDA/entry requirements for international shipments

Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle Global Trade Management (not required, but a plus)
