HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW The Export Import Compliance Specialist is responsible for processing import and export shipments ensuring compliance with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations.
This is an in-office position based near Mountain Top, PA.
EXPECTATIONS
- Comply with company wide Export Compliance Manual and Code of Conduct
- Review inbound & outbound shipments for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Determine product ECCN/HTS classifications and identify export license requirements
- Support preparation and submission of export license applications
- Maintain trade records for import and export transactions under ITAR, EAR, and CBP requirements
- Collaborate with senior trade team to resolve complex trade compliance issues
- Conduct internal verifications of trade compliance transactional records
- Coordinate with logistics, legal, and finance to ensure smooth and compliant supply chain
- Advise management on trade compliance aspects and risks of proposed business decisions
- Support preparation reports and audit related to trade activities
- Manage duty drawback and remediation programs
ESSENTIALS
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Trade Compliance
- In depth understanding of import and export regulations, ITAR, EAR and CBP
- Experience managing export licenses and reviewing export documentation for accuracy
- Familiarity with CBP regulations and the ACE system for import operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
